Payroll Parameters for Turkey
This reference tool groups amounts and rates used in Turkish payroll and social security calculations. It covers minimum wage, contribution bases, contribution shares, income tax brackets and certain exemptions where source records are available. It does not calculate an individual's net salary. Always read a displayed value together with the year and period to which it applies.
What the tool displays
The minimum wage section contains available monthly gross and net amounts, plus derived daily and hourly gross equivalents. Employer costs with and without the recorded incentive appear separately. A minimum wage support amount is listed when the corresponding data exists. These entries serve different purposes and should not be treated as interchangeable salary figures.
SGK (Social Security Institution) entries cover daily and monthly contribution base limits and employee and employer shares. Income tax brackets appear in a separate table. Other sections cover meal, transport, child and family allowance exemptions, the severance pay ceiling and certain social security benefits. Monetary figures concern Turkish lira, identified here as TRY.
The interface also contains sections for interest, revaluation, administrative penalties and research and development incentives. Their availability depends on the site's records. A section heading does not establish that every relevant rule or value is present.
Year, period and data source
The tool retrieves the site's statutory parameter records. It does not independently collect every figure from official institutions each time you open the page. Compare any value you intend to use with the official rules for the payroll period concerned. An absent card means data is unavailable in that view, rather than that the legal amount is zero.
The current web implementation requests payroll and social security records for 2026. It does not offer a user controlled year or period selector. Some additional sections use active records. Values are shown for the selected or applicable source period, but the present interface makes that selection itself. Do not assume that it displays historical periods or every change within a year.
Reading minimum wage and employer costs
Gross wage is the amount before employee deductions. Net wage is the amount payable to the employee; the net minimum wage shown here comes from the source record. The daily gross equivalent is derived from monthly gross pay. The hourly equivalent uses the monthly working hours parameter. Neither is a calculation based on your individual working schedule.
The standard employer cost model adds employer social security and unemployment contributions to gross minimum wage. The incentive model reduces the employer contribution using the recorded incentive rate. Displaying that model does not verify that a particular employer meets the incentive's conditions. Eligibility, applications and compliance checks are outside this reference tool.
Understanding SGK, tax and exemptions
- Contribution base: The earnings amount on which social security contributions are calculated. Daily and monthly floors and ceilings are contribution limits, rather than take home salary amounts.
- Contribution shares: Employee and employer liabilities are separate. Standard cards distinguish the social security and unemployment components; retired employee support contributions have separate entries.
- Income tax brackets: These describe the bands of a progressive schedule applied to taxable employment income. Entering a higher band does not mean that all gross pay is taxed at that band's rate.
- Exemptions: These identify portions of specified payments that may be excluded from tax or contribution bases under the relevant conditions. Meal income tax and SGK exemptions are separate concepts.
The severance pay ceiling limits the wage amount used in the relevant severance calculation. This tool does not collect service length or the reason employment ended, so it cannot determine an individual's severance entitlement. Likewise, a displayed nursing or funeral allowance is an amount reference, rather than confirmation that a person qualifies for payment.
Does it include stamp tax?
Stamp tax is a separate tax relevant to documents recording wage payments. It is distinct from progressive income tax and social security contributions. Its base and applicable exemptions require separate consideration. The current parameter screen has no dedicated stamp tax rate or exemption card. Do not interpret this page as a stamp tax calculator or a complete calculation of payroll deductions.
Using the reference screen
Open the relevant tab and search for a parameter name. Search filters fields such as labels, values and legal references. If nothing appears, clear the search before concluding that the section has no data. Copy controls are available on parameter cards.
The CSV export contains selected groups of parameter cards. It is not a complete export of every section: the income tax bracket table, administrative penalty table and research and development entries are not all included in that card export. Check its contents before using it as a working reference.
Frequently asked questions
Why can the same allowance have separate tax and SGK entries?
Income tax and social security rules can treat a payment differently. Read each exemption with its own purpose and conditions rather than applying one displayed allowance limit to every deduction.
Can I use this to calculate my exact net pay?
No. Employee status, cumulative taxable earnings, working time, additional payments and other individual inputs are not collected here. The screen helps you inspect parameters that a separate payroll calculation may need.
For information only; payroll decisions must use official rules for the relevant period and the individual's circumstances.
