Pension Raise Calculator: How Are the January and July Raises Set?
Pensions in Turkey are raised twice a year, in January and July. The rate is not known in advance; it becomes clear as six-month inflation is published. This tool estimates the next raise from published inflation data and shows how much your pension will increase, both for your base pension and for the minimum pension.
What does this tool show?
- Which raise: It picks the next raise (January or July) from the latest published inflation month.
- Monthly inflation: Inflation for each of the six months in the period. Published months are TÜİK data; months not yet published are marked "Estimated".
- Raise rate: Separately for SSK and Bağ-Kur pensioners and for civil servant pensioners.
- By base pension: Your new base pension after the raise and the increase.
- By minimum pension: What you receive today, and what you will receive if the minimum stays the same or rises by the same rate.
For unpublished months the default estimate is the average monthly inflation of the last three months. You can change it. As each month's data is published, the estimated part shrinks; once the last month of the period is published, the raise is final.
SSK and Bağ-Kur pensioners (4A/4B)
SSK (4/a) and Bağ-Kur (4/b) pensions rise by the inflation of the last six months:
- January raise: inflation from July to December.
- July raise: inflation from January to June.
Six-month inflation is calculated from TÜİK's consumer price index: the index of the period's last month divided by the index of the month before the period. For example, the July 2026 raise was 17.76%, the ratio of the June 2026 index to the December 2025 index.
Civil servant pensioners (4C)
The raise for civil servant pensioners (Emekli Sandığı, 4/c) has two parts:
- Collective agreement raise: the rate set in the public servants' collective agreement. Under the 8th Term agreement: 11% in January and 7% in July 2026; 5% in January and 4% in July 2027.
- Inflation difference: if the past six months' inflation exceeds that period's collective agreement raise, the difference is added.
The two rates are compounded, not added. In July 2026, first-half inflation was 17.76% against an 11% agreement raise. The inflation difference was about 6.09%; compounded with July's 7% agreement raise, the civil servant pensioner raise was 13.52%.
Base pension and minimum pension
The base pension is the amount SGK calculates from your service time and contribution earnings. The raise applies to this amount.
The minimum pension is a floor set by law. Pensioners whose base pension is below it receive the difference as a top-up. Under Law No. 7590, the minimum pension is TRY 23,552 from July 2026.
The minimum pension does not rise automatically with the raise; each increase needs a separate law. So the tool shows two cases:
- If the minimum stays the same: if your raised base pension is still below the minimum, you keep receiving the minimum, and the amount you receive may not change.
- If the minimum rises by the same rate: what you will receive if the law raises the minimum by the raise rate.
When is the raise final?
TÜİK usually publishes monthly inflation on the 3rd of the following month. The January raise becomes final when December inflation is published in early January; the July raise when June inflation is published in early July. The tool takes this data automatically from the Central Bank's EVDS system.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my base pension?
The amount paid to your bank may include a minimum-pension top-up and so be higher than your base pension. You can find your base pension in SGK's pension details on e-Devlet or in your pension award letter.
Are holiday bonuses included?
No. Holiday bonuses are paid separately and not added to the pension. The tool shows the monthly amount only.
Is an extra raise or welfare share included?
No. An extra raise set by law is separate from the inflation raise and is not added to the result.
Do survivor's pensions rise by the same rate?
Yes, the rate is the same. The minimum-pension rule for shared pensions may depend on the share; ask SGK for the exact amount.
Why does the result change every month?
Unpublished months are estimates. As each month's inflation is published, real data replaces the estimate and the result moves toward the final figure.
This tool is for information and gives an estimate. Contact SGK for your exact pension amount.
